Heavy rain forecast for Manningham this weekend

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across Victoria for Friday and the weekend, 1 December to 3 December 2017.

These storms are expected to cause an unusual amount of rain that may lead to flash flooding in flood-prone areas. Flooding is possible for rivers and catchments around the metro area.

The Victorian State Emergency Service (SES) website contains flood information for Manningham.

Report blocked drains to Council on 9840 9333 (24 hour service), even out of hours. Do not try and clear it yourself. Extra staff will be available over the weekend to attend to your call. When severe flooding occurs, the State Emergency Service (SES) also provides assistance to residents. For emergency assistance please call the SES on 132 500.

For emergency information call the Vic Emergency Hotline on 1800 226 226. Callers who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech/communication impairment can contact the hotline via the National Relay Service on 1800 555 677.
