Amnesty International North-East Metro Group and Menzies for Palestine invite you to attend this thought-provoking documentary film screening.

Palestine Under Siege is a documentary film shot in mid-2023 in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel, which takes you into the heart of the struggle for Palestinian self-determination.

It highlights the human rights abuses suffered by the Palestinian people from the time of the 1948 Nakba, via personal interviews and in-depth research. Palestinian and Jewish human rights activists speak about the movement to dismantle Israeli apartheid.

The screening will be followed by a Q and A panel featuring guests:

  • Dr Bushra Othman, a Palestinian-Australian surgeon who recently returned from volunteering in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza
  • Dr Samah Sabawi, an award-winning Palestinian Australian playwright, author, and poet
  • Dare to Struggle filmmakers.

Doors open at 6.45pm and the film will start at 7.00pm. The Q and A session will run until 9.30pm.
