Get into the groove of summer with the Summer Sounds program at Plaza Park during February.

Including two free music events on Saturday 13 February and Saturday 27 February, the program will feature the musical talents of Nicky Bomba and the All Day Fritz.

Nicky Bomba

Saturday 13 February, 11.00 am – 3.00 pm

Bring your voice, instruments and percussion to be involved in creating something original and special with Nicky Bomba and the band.

Nicky has featured in many projects; from conducting the 30 piece Melbourne Ska Orchestra to playing drums on John Butler’s award-winning ‘Sunrise over Sea’. Nicky is passionate about involving all-comers in the music making process and celebrating its influence in our lives. The day will also feature circus skills demonstration and entertainment by Circus Oz, and a range of free family activities.

All Day Fritz

Saturday 27 February, 5.00 pm – 8.00 pm

People of all ages and abilities are invited to join Melbourne musical legends All Day Fritz for a riotous, harmonious musical free for-all.  Learn a harmony, shake a maraca, dance your pants off or just sit back and enjoy the rocky, jazzy, swingy sounds of Fritz.

All Day Fritz will be joined on stage by Australia’s mass dance queen, Anna Go Go. The evening will also feature circus skills demonstration and entertainment by Circus Oz, as well as delicious food trucks.

Summer Sounds are free community events, no bookings required.
