More than 550 people got in early to have their say on how Manningham Council prioritises spending in the 2024-25 Budget.

Manningham Mayor, Cr Carli Lange thanked community members for taking part in the important consultation which has been extended until Wednesday 24 January 2024.

“It is such a busy time of the year and if you haven’t had a chance to complete our short survey yet, don’t worry - there’s still time!

“We’ve started working on the 2024-25 Draft Budget and 10 Year Financial Plan and have launched the survey so you can share your priorities for the next financial year.

“We’re committed to spending your rates wisely and providing community services, infrastructure and programs that suit your needs. To do this, we need to know what is important to you.”

Instead of only calling for submissions on the draft document at the end of the process Council is seeking feedback from residents and businesses early.

“This will empower us to understand what you want to see included before the draft document is endorsed for public consultation in May 2024.

“By getting your feedback now, we believe we can deliver a draft budget in May 2024 that already largely meets your expectations and aspirations.”

Last year you told us to prioritise (in order):

  1. Parks, reserves and other open spaces
  2. Maintenance and cleaning of public spaces
  3. Recycling and waste management
  4. Roads and traffic/parking management
  5. Drainage and stormwater management

Have your priorities changed? Let us know by completing our short survey before it closes on Wednesday 24 January 2024: yoursay.manningham.vic.gov.au/budget-2024-25
