These workshops are led by experienced instructors to create a fun environment that involves games with a social focus.
During an All Aboard session, children and young people build confidence by learning about skate skill development, injury prevention, skate park etiquette and equipment maintenance.
Each session generally runs for an hour and can accommodate up to 25 people at a time, from beginners to intermediates.
All genders and all abilities are welcome to participate.
Skateboards, helmets and padding provided.
However, If you have your own equipment, you are welcomed to bring this along to use.
These workshops are made possible thanks to YMCA Action Sports and Victorian Skateboard Association.

Using practical, evidence-based action plan, this mental health first aid (MHFA) course equips people with the knowledge and skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, and assist someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
This opportunity is available for two people per club.

GO Soccer Mums is an introductory football program designed specifically for women, where participants can have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment!
This summer break we are offering a free multi-week program for you to try the program for the first time or return to keep up your skills and maintain your psychical activity level in the off season.
Many participants may be busy with children on school holidays so we are also offering a free football clinic for kids!
This will run parallel to or GO Soccer Mums session for boys and girls aged five years to 12 years old.

Walking basketball is aimed towards getting our senior community and those with lowered mobility due to injury, illness, recovery from surgery or rehabilitation, involved in low impact basketball.
The program is a fun and engaging and will give participants a chance to socialise and be active at the same time, usually with a lot of laughter!
A size five ball is used with lowered and modified rings. The program caters for all levels of walkers, including those with walking aids and limited mobility.

Active Manningham will be running a free yoga/meditation class focusing on posture and breathing techniques through poses. Practiced slowly with more static posture holds.

The Yaluk Langa Community Day at Heide Museum of Modern Art will celebrate the continuing creative culture and traditions of the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people , Heide's traditional owners.
Bring your picnic for this free community day, and learn about the Indigenous history of the local landscape and the role everyone can plan in caring for Country.
Wurundjeri Elders will share stories around the cultural practice behind the recent tree scarring and shield projects, funded by Manningham Council, and lead art making activities and the planting of native grasses in Yaluk Langa.

Manningham United is running a free come and try Soccer Mum’s program for This Girl Can week.
We encourage mums or anyone who wants to enjoying keeping active in a fun social environment to come and join us.
Manningham United typically runs a weekly Soccer Mums program. The program is overseen by Natalie one of our board members and coached by Penny and Mel. Each week up to 50 mums get together to have fun, socialise and participate in some soccer basics to some pumping music!
There is no skill requirement, all you need is runners, a drink bottle and an appetite for fun.
No registration required.
